Best chicken sandwich anywhere!!! Good portions, great toppings.

At first when this place was new it was great. Then about a year or two ago, there was a few staff members dragging this place down; one staff members was eating chewing food in her mouth while taking our order& treated us like we were an inconvenience. During the same visit an employee (very large/tall caucasian man) took out his insulin needle & gave himself a shot right in the seating area for guests wearing his uniform & apron! We were so mortified by the staffs lack of professionalism we didn't return for at least a year and a half. Now its back to being pretty good, the staffing has turned over. They did forget an ingredient I asked for (tomato) on my burger, even tho it was listed on the order, but my visit about a month prior everything was spot on. The service is quite pleasant.

Smash Burger is a located at 25 High St SE, Calgary, which is 10 mins away from my home. It is an innovative restaurant. People can create their own burger. My boyfriend took me to Smash Burger on Saturday around the lunch time. We didn’t create our own burger, but we ordered pre-made burgers. I had a combo, which is including Smash burger, Smash sweet potato, and pop. My boyfriend ordered Calgary Burger and Oreo Milkshake. The food came out kitchen very fast. The burger was very fresh. The smash fries were very tasty. The prices of food were around $30. We enjoyed our lunch at Smash Burger.

Gluten free bun! Awesome burgers and always get the Smash fries! I've only been to this location ever but highly recommend it. Charming neighborhood for food and a walk and a shop! But this Smashburger location is clean tidy and amazing friendly service! You won't be disappointed! (Especially if your GF, amazing!)

The burger patty was severely overdone. I asked for a fried egg, which was pretty much burnt. And the smash sauce didn't leave an impression. The smash fries were great tho. Definitely not worth what they're charging.

Pretty delicious and worth the wait compared to a typical fast food joint.

Delicious burgers, my first time here. I tried the Baja spicy burger with fries and the grilled chicken. Absolutely delicious. Good price for good burgers. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

I've heard great things about Smashburger so when the preggo cravings for a burger an poutine hit I decided it was a perfect time to try it out. Unfortunately my burger was quite overcooked, I had asked for no mustard and it was smothered in it. The fries were not great either. I'm bumping a star for that milkshake though. That was a goooood milkshake.

I guess it's my own fault for putting the bag down on my bed for a second because no less than an ounce of grease must have seeped thru the bag onto my bed... And almost just as much on the table I put it on. Your fancy bag should come with a grease pit warning... Burger was ok but I can already taste the heartburn... Had such high hopes too.AND y'all forgot the cheese on BOTH THE triple doubles!!! W the actual F?!

Fast, friendly service. When is the last time some one at a burger joint asked if you enjoyed you meal? I enjoyed it.

I only went there for milkshakes and fries which were on point. But the menu looked amazing!!!! Lots to choose from. Kids menu. Beer for the dad's. Free easy parking. I am a fan

The restaurant itself is pretty clean and well kept. It's still pretty new and when I went, it wasn't too busy. I had the bacon cheddar bbq burger and it was really good. The service was really quick and the strawberry milkshake I had was delicious. I will probably come back because the price point is similar to other lower quality fast food places.

Sadly Smashburger has adopted shrinkflation. The patties are smaller and not as good as they were a few years ago. No longer one of my favorite places for burgers.

Burgers and fries are great, the size is rather small for the price though.

I think the quality has dropped a fair bit. Not sure if management changed or the recipie.

Great burgers, milkshakes, fries, all good. Unlike horrible chains like 'boardwalk' everything here is fantastic, well flavoured, and delicious.

Some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced.. Plus, great food, made quick. I’m from out of town but try to stop by when ever I’m in south Calgary.

Great food, I was one of the fortunate customers eating at Smashburger today as I received my order in a timely fashion. However the same cannot be said for the customers who came after me.As I sat and enjoyed my food I watched as people started to line up out the door. This restaurant is so pathetically under staffed that the cook would have to stop cooking to come out and deliver the food. The person taking the orders would have to stop taking orders to make milkshakes. Even as I finished my lunch and left the line up continued to build. How can you expect just 2 people to run an entire restaurant, absolutely ridiculous.

Absolutely awful service. My gf and I stood in line at the front counter for over 20min in a Friday night without someone even acknowledging us. We got fed up and left. I understand being busy, but not even acknowledging your customers is next level. We definitely weren’t the first to get up and leave in frustration.

We've been here many times, There’s usually a good experience when we’re here, today was my son’s birthday and this was his place of choice. They were particularly busy, ran out of dishes, I had to clear a table myself to sit down, all the tables were stacked with old dishes, milkshakes came watery and melted.After a 15 minute wait in line and another 20 at the table, we expect the consistency that we’re used to. This location’s quality has gone downhill...I’m guessing it’s another victim of Doordash that makes them too busy to care for the drop ins.

Best burger I've had in a long time! The bun was fresh and soft and the burger was amazing! I wasn't a fan of the fried pickles, not enough batter, but the tots were a nice change from fries. My kids enjoyed it also, and it was close to home which is a bonus as well.

Triple Double! My favorite 👍🍔🍟⭐ Smashburger was excellent this evening! I love the High Street location. The food here is better than any other local burger joint and even at regular menu prices, better quality and value. Add in the Smash rewards and it's even better!

We were greeted immediately by an extremely friendly server/host. These guys have Incredible food, piping hot and served straight off of the grill price is very reasonable for a custom burger shop. The establishment was very clean and sanitary and it was a wet mushy day outside so kudos to all of the staff for going above and beyond. We will be back !!!!

Terrible service with a sub par product. Stale bun, bland burger with frozen French fries. It completely escapes they’re still in business.

Decent burger here. I had the jalapeno basa burger and it was really good. The fries are well done as well. Great tasting food. A bit expensive though.

Baja burger ... pretty good. Fries are always good. I also had fried dill picks and they were pretty good too. The service was very friendly and faster than I expected. Next time I will try the brussel sprouts.

Good as ever ... My usual salad was no longer on menu, but the new replacement was pretty yummy 😋!

I can understand the current situation going on right now, but I was told they were too busy to take an order and then rudely hung up on . Very poor customer service.

Friendly staff and a great classic burger. Their smash fries are also well seasoned. Their strawberry milk shake is the real deal.

Great food at a decent price, my issue was they had Saskatoon shakes as a promotion and the server didn't want to bring the Saskatoons out of the freezer to make me a shake.

Very friendly staff and amazing burger. Better than boogies and five guys as far as burgers go. Fries are good...chicken burger is awesome too. No idea how these guys only have 4.2 stars.
